Graduation project: MIC predictor

Rick Nijboer

I am Rick Nijboer, a 4th year student of Biology and Medical Laboratory Science at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. My interest in microbiology was sparked during my biotechnology course. I enjoyed the working atmosphere at Bioclear earth during my previous internship where I worked on the Living Soil project. Therefore, I have chosen to undertake my graduation internship at the affiliate company Microbial Analysis, working on the MIC predictor project. My role will involve developing and testing a predictive model to determine the likelihood of microbial induced corrosion (MIC) under specific conditions. Although creating a model is beyond my current skillset, I am confident that I will receive sufficient support during my graduation period.
